Video Production for UNI

My recent video shoots showcase the importance of video production and how it solves real-world marketing challenges.
When the Marketing Department at the Wilson College of Business observed declining enrollment in elective courses, they had to close several classes. The issue wasn’t the course quality. Instead, students’ perceptions held them back. Simply put, they didn’t recognize the value in these elective options.
To address this problem, I partnered with the marketing team to develop a targeted video series. We designed these videos to speak directly to student interests and concerns. The series focused on three key elements:
- The in class experience
- Practical skills students will gain
- How those skills directly translated to the job application process
We structured each video around a clear progression. First, we explained the course and its unique classroom experience. Next, we highlighted how the course would prepare students for the job market. Throughout the videos, we emphasized authenticity by featuring real course instructors and actual classroom footage.
The results proved the strategy’s effectiveness. After the first round of videos, two of the three classes reached maximum enrollment. This success motivated the department to contract me for a second round of elective videos to further boost enrollment.
This demonstrates how professional video production transforms student perception and drives measurable business results.
Video serves as more than just visual content. When executed strategically, it becomes a powerful growth tool. Research shows that institutions investing in video marketing strategies see significant returns on investment and strengthen their competitive positioning.
